I love miya's sushi- especially because it so often defy's my general expectations of sushi. There's always so many new and creative dishes- with both raw, seared, and cooked fish and meets- which make it especially yummy to eat there. Also, it's a pretty laid back atmosphere and it feels that everyone knows eachother- which is different from many new haven resturants. A generally good date resturant because it straddles both the expensive and medium priced fare- there's something for everyone

I love that Miya's makes food with sophisticated flavors using ingredients from all over the world. I can be confident that, though theirs is a cuisine that is entirely original, everything will taste absolutely wonderful. I love that the ambiance is warm and confortable and not remotely stuffy.

Most creative sushi in New Haven. Expect to wait, but also expect to eat really interesting and well-prepared rolls, maki, and sashimi. You are cheating yourself if you come here and just order standard things. Branch out! Share a moriawase, dampa pampa, or bad tempered geisha boy. They're really good!
