The primary aim of our organization is to encourage and inspire interest in the field of Geriatrics, as well as all issues pertaining to older adults, among students training in the health professions. Through educational events and service activities, we seek not only to promote awareness about aging-related issues, but also to dispel negative stereotypes that impact the quality of care for older persons across all health professions. Only through a more complete understanding of the geriatric population can progress be made toward health care equality for all Americans.
